9/8 – Anji Makhachkala won 2-0 against Tom’ Tomsk. The 15.100 spectators saw a good game by Mbark, who gave the assist for Anji’s first goal. Anji remains fifth in the Russian Premier Liga.

As usual, Mbark played as central midfielder. It was Mbark’s 15th game for Anji. Together with Anji’s most recent signing, Balázs Dzsudzsák, he threatened the Tom’ Tomsk defence. After 17 minutes, Mbark sent Prudnikov towards Tomsk goalkeeper Pesjakov. Prudnikov gave Anji a 1-0 lead. Anji controlled the game and seven minutes before the end, Gadzhiev scored the second goal. The win against Tomsk is Anji’s ninth win of the season, they have only lost 4 games out of 19.

Before the match, Anji presented Yuri Zhirkov. The Russian midfielder (27), who played for Chelsea FC the last two seasons, signed a four-year contract. Another added value to the Anji team.

Next Sunday, Anji visits Spartak Moscow. An important game for Anji, because Spartak is only two points behind.

Mbark is now with the Maroccan national team. Wednesday, the Atlas Lions play a friendly against Senegal.
